I can’t believe people are actually jumping in mirror lake. I was going to but then I became informed of the rankness that consists of that pond. First of all, they measure the pH and temperature before everyone gets in and after. They’re checking to see the level of disgusting. Dead giveaway you shouldn’t be in that water. Second of all, if you were to watch the news like I did, you would be aware that tons of students get ill directly after jumping in that foul water, whether it’s from exposure or the temperature. Third of all, it’s FREEZING outside tonight and jumping in even colder water is just plain unhealthy and unappealing. Lastly, most people get really messed up before they jump in. More than often they are trashed and sloppy. Do you want disorderly icky people to fall all over you when you jump in? Better yet, do you want to get covered in all of the pee and vomit from the drunks, or the trash that has accumulated in the bottom of the lake over the years? This is a college campus; I’m sure some raunchy shit has gone down in that lake. Now this isn’t just a rant, I do understand. It’s fun to participate in a college tradition, especially something that is yearly and full of spirit. In fact, a lot of my friends are all going to jump in tonight. Originally I was too, and I was very excited. The offers of free food, parties, and booze are also enticing reminders of why students should join in. Honestly though, after doing my research, It just seems too icky now. Sorry! Go Buckeyes! Ha-ha.

I missed class today because I had some amazingly nasty flu symptoms so I’m way behind on all of this memo nonsense. I had to somehow haul myself to campus by 8:00pm to grab the packet we got in class from Denney hall. That was wonderful, since traffic was crazy and I was disgustingly sick and I commute. Anyway, now that I have this packet I know that we are supposed to blog about BSG…the part we watched in class…which I wasn’t in. So now I’m going to look it up online like a good girl.
Ok, so now that that’s done, I can safely say that this episode dragged on forever. I feel like they were fighting a never ending losing battle. I don’t understand, if these robots are so much more powerful and have nuclear bombed your entire planet, why not surrender? There really is no point in fighting anymore. I get that they have all of this loyalty and moral but really? You guys are dropping like flies, just stop it already. Also, that male robot fighting scene was weird. The sexy robot lady is incredibly strong and maniacal, but the robot male was defeated by an old man. If they are so strong, how the hell did that happen? When I have to continuously stop and question why things are happening in the series it makes the show really irritating. It might also have to do with the fact that I am sick and not pleased with today’s outcome school-wise whatsoever. I guess a legitimate excuse and a doctor’s note claiming I shouldn’t be there for at least three days doesn’t cut it anymore. Ah well, I miss high school.

This story is going to be really gross, so if you have a weak stomach you should probably stop reading. Anyhow, Saturday night I was really just tired of school and work and household issues so I decided I was going to get my drank on. Yes, I know, how bad of me. So I went to a friend’s house, where more friends met us, and enjoyed a few drinks. One thing lead to another and I ended up getting really drunk. I have a slight flaw when drinking (surprise!). When I start drinking, I’m very conservative and careful. No shots, nothing too hard. However, once I’m drunk, I don’t seem to care anymore. I no longer have that voice in the back of my head telling me my limit, instead I just keep drinking and drinking. So I had a good time, talked to a lot of my friends, got a safe and sober ride home, and I thought that was it. Nope. I got home and laid down in my bed to relax and watch some television but then the room started spinning. This is not a normal feeling for me after drinking, so I grudgingly went to sit on the bathroom floor just in case. Just as I suspected, here comes the vomit. I threw up entire goldfish (the crackers). Apparently when drunk I forget how to chew. Then I literally ate toothpaste to get minty fresh again, walked down to the basement to see what my roommate was doing, and saw he was watching jackass. Coincidentally it was the part where Stevo throw up a live whole goldfish (ofcourse!). So then I ran back to the bathroom and threw up more and went to sleep. I wont be doing that again for a while. The end!

Ugh I just got home from work. We’ve been slow at Dairy Queen so my boss has cut the staff by a lot (per day I don’t mean laid off). However on days like this where it gets oddly warm in the winter time we tend to get very busy. Does my boss take this into account? Of course not. So the few of us who are there get bum-rushed with a crowd of people for hours on end. All of these people really love to make obvious and equally irritating comments too, such as, “How about this weather?!” and “Looks like you guys are really busy!” Yes, yes we are. Why did you get into an already full drive through or dining room? Oh who knows. So yeah, it was a little bit stressful tonight. I also am emulating a delicious smell of rotting dairy and chocolate. Today was pretty boring besides work. All I did was laundry and cleaned. I also watched a little bit of tv, such as sixteen and pregnant. That was actually really entertaining. This sixteen year old girl told her mom she thought it was time because “My vagina hurts real bad an’ I feel like I gotta Boo-boo!” I was laughing so hard and I felt stupid because no one else was around to hear what this girl just said. Alright, well at least now this is done. I really need to go clean my belly button and get ready for bed, and shower! Ick I hate the smell of dairy ha-ha.

Yesterday my roommate’s car battery died so I made the rash decision to give them my car so that they could go to work. My car happens to be my dad’s car, so he’s definitely not allowed to know my friend has it. Oh well they’re a good driver anyway. I’m watching my friend play the new Assassin’s Creed and it’s pretty sick. This games graphics are pretty amazing. I used to play video games but eventually I got really bored of them and moved on to better things. This one though, this one I can play. I really like how it has a story line to it. The plot keeps me interested so that I don’t feel like I’m roaming around a virtual world preforming mindless tasks. Better yet, it’s old fashioned fighting. There’s no cheating, you have to run right up to an opponent to fight them. AND you get to ride a variety of cool horsies (yay!). Speaking of animals, I’ve been thinking about changing my studies to animals as opposed to pharmaceuticals. I’ve always had a passion for animals. Anything really. Except bugs. I’ve owned horses, birds, cats, dogs, snakes, rabbits, crabs, fish, rats, and mice. The only reason I am not in veterinary school is because I’m worried about not making enough money. I want to have a house and a family someday, and being financially unstable makes me very nervous. I know it doesn’t seem right but at least I have a plan.

Today was the last day of survey (woot!). So now I leave school at 12:18pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. At least for the last two weeks I do. I’m so happy this quarter is almost over. I haven’t been able to snag a chemistry 122 for next quarter but hopefully more will open up. That’s what my counselor says anyway ha-ha. I’m doing online chemistry tutorials and watching fat camp on MTV. I don’t understand how someone works out every day and still doesn’t lose any weight. I would hate that so much. These kids are really quite obnoxious. I changed my bellybutton ring! It’s still really fresh so that probably wasn’t the best idea but I do clean it several times a day. I only got it pierced around two weeks ago and you’re supposed to wait about 6 months before you change the ring. Oh well, I’m a rule breaker. Oh yeah so that Chemistry exam I studied so hard for basically raped me. I mean literally just tore me a new one. I did both practice exams, studied, did practice problems. I thought I had it down pat. Then I got the test and realized the questions were very different from the problems I studied and the previous exam. They didn’t even remind me of the other exams. Needless to say I tried my hardest and went as fast as I could, but at this point I really feel like I could have scored a 0 (no joke). If I did I won’t be needing chem 122 because I’ll be taking chem 121 again unfortunately.

Battle Star Galactica was actually pretty interesting. I thought it would be really boring with a weak plot but it entertained me for the most part. I can see how someone might want to write a paper about it. Also, watching a movie for the entire period was great! It gave me a little bit of time to relax. That girl who punched her superior in the face was really ripped. It made her body look kind of studly and the haircut didn’t add to her appeal either. She looks very angry (coincidentally she is). There seems to be a lot of drama going on in this series. There’s an angry lady, an angry son, a guilty dad, a sexy robot, a cheating douchebag, and some angry less attractive robots. It kind of reaches out to a lot of emotional levels at once. And I agree with that paper about the flashbacks, they are realistic and interesting. I felt really bad when all of those bombs hit the colonies because there was really nothing anyone could do to stop them. Also, when that sexy robot killed the baby. That was NOT cool. I don’t see why she had to kill it if her race was going to nuclear bomb the planet anyway. Oh well, I guess it keys into her cynical character. Surprisingly I actually do want to finish watching the series. I don’t know how the defense could possibly beat the robots. The war almost seems over already since the planet has been nuked.
